The graphic symbol of the Armed Forces Veterans Homes Foundation features the eagle first used on the uniform patch given to 15 million World War II servicemen as they were discharged from military service. Over the years, this eagle has been affectionately referred to as the "Ruptured Duck." The stars on the logo represent the five branches of America's armed forces.
