More than 1200 local United Way campaigns now offer what is called a "Donor Option" program
that allows donors to "write-in" a charity not listed in the United Way brochure. Each
local United Way has its own rules and restrictions on this program.
If you are interested in giving a United Way gift to the Armed Forces Veterans Homes Foundation,
you will most likely have to write our name and address in the appropriate section of your
pledge card:

Should a "Donor Option" write-in section not appear on your pledge card, please ask a United
Way representative for information about the "Donor Option" - and the paperwork that is
required to designate the gift. After you acquire the proper form, please fill-in the needed
information, as given above.
